The workshop proceedings summarize the reflections of stakeholders from a workshop hosted in October 2023 by WRI India in partnership with Youth for Unity and Voluntary Action (YUVA). The workshop was conducted to explore collaborative maintenance models for the ecological restoration of underused public open spaces in Mumbai’s low-income communities. The key takeaways from the workshop included the importance of participatory approaches, stakeholder integration throughout the project lifecycle, and the design of ecologically suitable and easy-to-maintain solutions, among others.
