Harshil Suresh is a Program Associate – Urban Innovations, with the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. Here, he supports the team in its vision to catalyze urban innovations towards building sustainable and equitable cities, through engagements with entrepreneurs, governments, and investors.
Prior to joining WRI India, Harshil worked at Praja Foundation, a non-profit organization, where he was engaged on the ambitious program – ‘Transforming Urban Governance’ initiative. There, he conducted comprehensive research to map the status of urban governance systems, identify needful reforms and advocate for reform actions across all states and selected union territories in India. He also contributed to the research and publication of Praja’s Urban Governance Index 2020.
Harshil holds a master’s in Urban Development and Management from TERI School of Advanced Studies. He enjoys conducting research, engaging with stakeholders, and advocating for necessary actions within the sphere of urban development. In his idle time, Harshil likes reading non-fiction, listening to podcasts and watching TV series, movies and documentaries.
