The report is a summary of the Bengaluru Climate Action and Resilience Plan (BCAP) launched by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike with WRI India as the knowledge partner. The BCAP sets mitigations goals for Greenhouse Gas emissions for 2050 and aims to enhance Bengaluru’s resilience by propelling adjustments in ecological, social, and economic systems to address challenges presented by climate change. The BCAP is guided by the C40 Cities Climate Action Planning Framework to address the components of emission reduction/neutrality, climate change risk and vulnerability reduction, governance and collaboration, and inclusivity and benefits.
